Species: Oak, Red Quercus rubra
The heartwood resembles other Oaks with a biscuit to pink color, but has a reddish tinge. Mostly straight grained and coarse textured, with less figure than White Oak due to smaller rays. Used for furniture, flooring, interior joinery, and veneers. Not suitable exterior uses.
