Bloodwood is indigenous to Central and South America. Its heartwood is found in various shades of rich, lustrous red overlaid with a golden sheen. Bloodwood is odorless as well as tasteless. Glues well and takes a high natural polish, finishing smoothly. Bloodwood is commonly used for turnery, inlay and feature strips.
