Species: Lacewood Cardwellia sublimes or Euplassa pinnata

From two primary sources, Australia and South America Lacewood is referred to as “Silky” Oak, however not related to Oak. Lacewood is light pinkish tan with a silvery-pink sheen. Quarter-sliced to yield the flaky grain character. Moderately heavy and hard. Machines well and is used for furniture, inlays, turnery, and decorative veneers.
